DraftKings Casino to Offer New Online Games in West Virginia
DraftKings on Friday announced the launch of new West Virginia online casino products for the state.
Beginning Friday, DraftKings Casino will offer West Virginia customers new live dealer games like roulette, baccarat, infinite blackjack and more, the company said in a news release.
DraftKings players in West Virginia will be able to compete against other customers at table games with each new online casino game having a live dealer, the release said.
West Virginia is one of half a dozen states, along with Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan and Connecticut, offering real money online casinos. In addition, these six states, along with Nevada, have legalized online poker.
DraftKings is affiliated in West Virginia with Penn National Gaming's Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.
Rocket Available in WV
West Virginia players will also be able to play one of DraftKings’ most popular games, Rocket. A product built entirely in-house, Rocket is a game of instinct that delivers real-money potential payouts within a shared multiplayer and interactive interface.
It’s unlike any other product that DraftKings Casino has to date and a game that is exclusive to DraftKings, according to the news release.
With more than 500 games offered on DraftKings Casino, customers have the chance to win millions of prizes each month.
The news release added that DraftKings is committed to creating “inclusive and responsible pathways for people to build, create, imagine and innovate through the DraftKings S.E.R.V.E.S program.” The collective mission of the S.E.R.V.E.S program is to protect vulnerable customers with state-of-the-art technology, training, resources and support through evidence-based research.
West Virginia iGaming
West Virginia’s iGaming handle in April was $210.8 million, a figured that jumped to just over $213 million in May, though revenue from online gaming in that span decreased 4.6% to $7.6 million, according to the West Virginia Lottery.
The West Virginia online gaming landscape continues to grow with several companies joining the fold. PointsBet entered the fray in January and BetMGM Casino reached an agreement with Wizard Games in March to offer its iGaming products in West Virginia.
