SugarHouse Launches First Integrated Online Sportsbook in US

The first online casino in New Jersey was the first to another step in the world online gaming in the US.
SugarHouse online casino announced the first integrated online sportsbook and real money casino in the US. The new model means that SugarHouse’s online casino and online sportsbook will be on the same overall site instead of separate brands.
The first in the US is actually not an uncommon occurrence. In Europe, many sportsbooks and casino operations have integrated their two branches into the same overarching brand. Some names like Betway or 888 have sportsbetting options and casino games on the same website, instead of separate sites for the two.
For SugarHouse users, the integrated website should help customers to be introduced to the sportsbook side of SugarHouse’s gambling offerings. Players will be able to jump between the sportsbook and casino with ease, as well as being able to use the same account for both sides.
In an effort to help be more accessible to all sports bettors, odds for the sportsbook will be in three forms: American, decimal, and fractional. Parlays will can have a maximum of 12 legs, unlike many sportsbooks that only allow players to go up to 8 legs.
The sportsbook will also be available for players on the go. iOS and Android enabled devices will be able to download a SugarHouse app from their respective app stores to go along with the desktop version. Both versions have identical functions as each other.
In a press release regarding the new platform integration, Rush Street Interactive - SugarHouse’s operator - expressed excitement for their product, as well as some features that bettors might be excited to take advantage of.
“Great odds and advanced technology enables those In-Game bets at PlaySugarHouse.com to remain open longer and maximize betting opportunities during the game. Players have the opportunity to make a wide range of bets including who will win the game, upcoming plays, over/under for teams and players, partial game bet, parlays, and much more. An innovative feature allows players to cash-out an active bet before the outcome is determined, allowing them to secure part of their winnings or cut their losses as the odds change.”
Many bettors might key in on the early cashout feature that will allow them to claim part of their winnings should a sporting event start going badly for them.
Of course, Rush Street Interactive isn’t just an online operator. They bring forward experience in four brick-and-mortar casinos: Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; SugarHouse in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, Illinois; and Rivers Casino is Schenectady, New Jersey.
SugarHouse joined DraftKings and playMGM as the third online sportsbook to open in New Jersey following the federal Supreme Court overturning the federal ban on sports gambling in the US. Land-based casinos began opening their sportsbooks in June, just a month removed from the first online sportsbooks.
As the popularity of sports betting grows in the US, expect more online casinos and sportsbooks to begin integrating into the one site. Being able to navigate between sports betting and casino gambling is likely to become more of a commonplace in the world of online gambling as the US continues to embrace the new world of gambling.
