New Jersey Online Gaming Deal For Evolution & Golden Nugget

Online gaming content provider Evolution Gaming and casino operator giant Golden Nugget have agreed on a deal to make EG’s live dealer casino games available in New Jersey.

The deal will expand the New Jersey online casino content already available by matching two well-known companies in the gaming space.

Golden Nugget Casino and Online Offerings

Golden Nugget Casino already offers more than 600 online gaming titles in New Jersey to complement its brick-and-mortar casino location in Atlantic City. Golden Nugget also has an online sportsbook as well as a physical sportsbook.

Golden Nugget led all New Jersey casinos in internet gaming win in April with $27.6 million and is second in total gaming revenue (casino win, internet gaming win and sports wagering revenue) for the first four months of 2020 with $130.2 million. That figure trails only Borgata ($182.6 million), according to New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement figures released monthly.

New Jersey online gaming players will now be able to play Evolution games such as Dream Catcher, Side Bet City and Top Card, according to an Evolution Gaming news release. As well as streaming access at Golden Nugget’s live studio, players can get in on these games from Evolution’s live casino facility, also in Atlantic City.

Golden Nugget also struck a deal in 2019 to bring Big Time Gaming and Scientific Games content to its New Jersey online gaming players. And its live studio has been operating since 2016.

”The agreement with Evolution will give our players and those of our operating partners access to more unique show-style games and other unique titles, enriching their live gaming experience,” Golden Nugget Senior Vice President & General Manager of Online Gaming Thomas Winter said in the release. “The new generation of Evolution Live Casino games will also help us serve a broader player demographics, including sports bettors.”

Evolution Gaming Stretching Its Market

The deal between Evolution and Golden Nugget could potentially expand to other states. Golden Nugget has casino properties in Nevada, Mississippi and Louisiana as well as Atlantic City.

Evolution Gaming, a Swedish-based company, agreed to a deal in 2019 to bring its platform of live gaming to Pennsylvania players.

Golden Nugget has existing online betting partnerships in New Jersey with major brands such as Betfair/FanDuel, Borgata, BetMGM, PartyCasino, BetAmerica and Caesars.

“This deal further consolidates our position in New Jersey while providing an additional strategic platform from which to introduce additional new games to the US, including titles that have already been very successful in the live casino space in Europe,” Evolution Chief Commercial Officer Sebastian Johannisson said.
