BetMGM Testing to Go Live with Pennsylvania Online Casino
Just a week after announcing a partnership with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the team’s first betting partner, BetMGM’s online casino offering in Pennsylvania began a three-day testing period on Tuesday. It runs through Thursday.
Being conducted until 8 p.m. Tuesday, testing will continue Wednesday from 2-10 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

The BetMGM Pennsylvania online gaming testing is being operated under the Hollywood Casino at Penn National iGaming certificate, and is initially just for slots and table games. But poker could be added in the future, according to Doug Harbach, communications director of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
Without any issues, technical or otherwise, the state will have its 13th online casino in full, live 24-hour operation mode on Friday.
When the deal with the Steelers was announced, Matt Prevost, chief revenue officer of BetMGM, said in a news release that “we’re eager to launch BetMGM’s gaming offering in Pennsylvania and I can’t think of a better way to kick off our entry into the state than through this monumental partnership.”
Pennsylvania, along with Delaware, New Jersey and West Virginia, has legal online casino gambling. Those states plus Nevada have legal online poker.
BetMGM Increases Pennsylvania Gambling Reach
With the Steelers announcement in late November, BetMGM now is partners with six NFL teams: The Steelers, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans.
It also has partnerships with the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights and Detroit Red Wings and the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces.
BetMGM has not yet announced when its online sportsbook will be launching in Pennsylvania, but the Steelers release said it would be before the end of the year.
