Unibet Casino Review

Formed in the early 1990s by Anders Strom while he was a college student in Sweden, Unibet was eventually sold for $325,000 and is now part of the Kindred Group.

Via a partnership with Hard Rock Casino and with licensing in the state of New Jersey, Unibet recently launched their online casino. Not long after that, it also launched its casino in Pennsylvania thanks to a partnership with Mohegan Sun Ponoco.

Withdrawal Methods

  • Personal Bank Account
  • PayPal

This a strong point for Unibet — the banking options. Out of the gate, Unibet has recognized how important PayPal is to have. This is something a lot of casinos do not yet offer.

It is arguably the easiest form of payment for players as they just login to their account and do not need to manually input their card information. This will allow for more on-demand depositing, increasing the amount of players they will get to their site.

Welcome Bonus

Unibet currently offers two welcome offers. The first comes in the form of simply signing up. You sign up for an account, you get a free $10 to wager. Use the promo code UBCASINO10 to access this.

Next, if you choose to deposit, they will give you a 100 percent match up to $500. However, in order to withdraw the bonus monies, you must do a 25x playthrough no matter whether you're playing slots or table games. This means that if you deposit $200, you must wager a total of at least $5,000 in order to withdraw.

The bonus money will be credited within 48 hours and players have only 30 days to spend it before it expires. You should keep in mind that cash is always spent before bonus money, so you have to do a fair amount of playing. In order to get this deposit bonus, use the promo code UBCASINO500.

Pros/Cons

Pros

  • PayPal
  • Appealing interface
  • Off to a great start

Cons

  • No iOS app
  • Not a huge game library

Desktop/Mobile Experience

While there is no iOS app, Unibet does provide information for Android users on how to download their app on their device. Due to Google Play’s policies against casino apps, you cannot directly download from their store.

When you arrive at Unibet’s desktop version, the first thing you’ll notice is the green coloring surrounding the page with the scrolling slideshow ads. While it’s nothing graphically intense, it is a cozy atmosphere.

Everything on the page is easy to find and access. At the bottom of the screen, it’s hard to miss the support button, which will lead you to FAQs and/or the live chat function.

There are fewer games on the mobile version of the app, but Unibet does a nice job relaying their desktop version to their mobile app.

Game Variety at Unibet

The game library is not the most expansive with Unibet, but they have only been live for a short period of time and can always add more games as they continue operation.

  • Slots: 237. These include popular titles such as Gonzo's Quest
  • Table Games: Unibet currently has eight titles, including American Roulette, Blackjack, Multihand Blackjack Pro, Singlehand Blackjack Pro, French Roulette, Roulette Advance, Roulette Master and Three Card Poker
  • Game operators: IGT, Microgaming, Evolution Gaming and NetEnt

Betting Limits

As with all online casinos, there are a plethora of games that have varying levels of different minimum and maximum amounts you are able to wager. Of course, though, Unibet does give players the option, as part of their Responsible Gaming initiative, to limit all kinds of spending.

Customer Support

The customer support is relatively easy to locate. Along the bottom of the screen, you’ll find a “Support” button. This will allow you to search for your issue. If you’re unable to find it, there is a live chat option, available 24/7.

Beyond this, they do offer email and phone support. This support is able to be accessed from 9am-11pm, Monday-Sunday.

Responsible Gambling Features

Located near the signup/login buttons there is a “Responsible Gaming” icon. Littered throughout the Unibet site are different texts that outline all of the different things that come with Responsible Gaming such as deposit limits, spending limits and the 1-800-GAMBLER hotline.

Our Verdict

Keeping in mind that we are still in the soft launch period, Unibet is off to a wonderful start. While they may not have iOS implementation or the most expansive game library, Unibet does offer PayPal as banking options, which is something that the veteran casinos have yet to even offer.

Adding iOS will come in time, and as the business expands, it’s fair to assume that Unibet will continue to add more games to increase options for their viewers.

With that said, there are still over 240 games to choose from, which is quite a lot in its own right.

We recommend checking out Unibet if you’re in the New Jersey or Pennsylvania area. They make the site as accommodating as possible for their players.
