Resorts Casino Review

Launching in February of 2015, Resorts Casino came to the state of New Jersey over a year after the initial influx of online casinos started popping up.

Although they were behind the eight-ball on the initial launch, Resorts has spared no expense in giving their player base more games than they know what to do with, totalling over 550.

Fast-forward to 2019 and the outlet now offers sports betting, too. After earning the Operator of the Year Award by EGR North America back in 2016, how is Resorts doing these days?

Pros/Cons

Pros

  • Wide variety of games offered
  • Great software backing
  • Reputable brand name

Cons

  • Promotions are average
  • Lack of jackpot slots

Desktop/Mobile Experience

Designed by industry giant NYX Gaming, the Resorts Casino through the desktop is 100 percent of offerings, as advertised with their casino. Although the home screen is relatively bland, all of the information a player would need is right there in front of them, with menus going to other sections of the Resorts Casino, such as the casino itself, promotional offerings and the sportsbook.

Going to the mobile version, players on-the-go will have the option of playing through a mobile browser or an app for Android or iPhone. However, unlike the desktop version, players are only able to access roughly around 200 games online as opposed to the entire 550 that the desktop version has. Of course, not all games can be conducive to a mobile platform.

For both mediums, players must be located within the state borders of New Jersey as you will be tracked by Resorts’ geolocation software. In our experience, we did not run into any long, delayed loading errors, but rather different menus that seamlessly load up upon clicking.

Game Variety at Resorts Casino

With companies such as NYX and NextGen at the forefront of powering their games, Resorts has everything a player would want, especially if you’re a slots player. There are over 500 different ones to choose from.

Unfortunately, though, there are not many jackpot slots to complement the sheer amount of slots they have, but that can always grow more and more with time. Divine Fortune is one of the more well-known jackpot slots, with popular exclusive slots such as Glorious Empire also being popular.

Beyond the slots, there are six versions of blackjack, 10 other table games in addition to blackjack, 14 video poker machines and even some virtual sports offerings. The virtual sports offerings include things such as dog and horse racing and soccer.

Betting Limits

With such a wide array of games, there are plenty of variables when it comes to how much a player can and cannot wager. Some games allow you to bet as low as $0.10, and some things such as micro limit blackjack can have maximum amounts of bets up to $25. With that said, it’s meant to be low wagering and other games will allow more, certainly.

Customer Support

With 24/7 customer support available, Resorts Casino has all forms of customer service available for the customer base. On the homepage, near the signup/login screens, there is a question mark icon which leads to the FAQ section. Also, there is a live chat button in the bottom right of every screen you visit while on the site.

Furthermore, at the bottom of the homepage, there is a “Contact Us” button that also lists a phone number and email address. We found that the live chat feature is extremely responsive and helpful, and they should be able to help you out with whatever you need taken care of.

Responsible Gambling Features

In the same vicinity as the “Contact Us” button, Resorts Casino does list the gambling addiction hotline number, 1-800-GAMBLER. Like other online casinos, there is a responsible gaming icon near the signup/login pane, which goes into more detail about the subject.

Our Verdict

Overall, Resorts has everything you’d need for an online casino. While there are fewer games on mobile versus desktop, there are still more than enough options regardless of how you’re able to play.

There’s not a lot to complain about with this casino. The only thing that could be viewed as negatives are all things that could eventually be improved upon in time and even then, it is knit-picking. Resorts Casino should be a nice job at keeping you with them, and not allow for their clientele to explore the competition.
